Northern Lights Roadhouse offers Lake Superior grub and views

Asking Marie Frey to choose among her favorite dishes at the Northern Lights Roadhouse in Beaver Bay is like asking her to name her favorite volunteer activity. She wouldn’t give any of them up.

Luckily, we worked out a deal: I would have the Hunter’s Pie on this cold, windy October day, and she would have the North Shore Sampler ” a little walleye, a little wild rice-roasted red pepper quiche and a little spring green salad with mango salsa.
